Junbond JB9700 Neutral Plus Weatherproof Silicone Sealant

Junbond^® JB 9700 Neutral Cure Silicone Sealant is a one-part, non-slump, moisture-curing RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) that cures to form a tough, high modulus rubber with long-term flexibility and durability. The neutral curing mechanism is ideally suited for use in confined work areas since no objectionable odors are evolved. The non-slump characteristics allow application to vertical or horizontal joints without flowing or sagging. JB9700 neutral cure silicone has excellent resistance to weathering including ozone, ultraviolet radiation, freeze-thaw conditions and airborne chemicals.

Neutral cure silicones, like our JB 9700 are unique in that some release a substance known as methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing, and others release acetone. These substances are non-corrosive, thixotropic and make neutral cure silicones ideal for electronics applications. These silicones also release a much subtler odor, making them great candidates for indoor applications such as kitchen installations, even though the cure time is longer than that of acetoxy cure silicones.
